APRANGA expanding to regional centers

The Lithuanian and Baltic leader of clothing retail APRANGA Group
will open a shop APRANGA covering an area of almost 500 sq. m
in the shopping center Aušra in Utena on September 23. It will be
the first shop of APRANGA in Utena county.

“One of the trends of expansion of the APRANGA Group for the coming
two years is establishment of shops of the APRANGA chain focused on
the economic segment in regional centers. We aim to be present
beyond largest cities because the purchasing power has also grown
considerably in regions over the past years,” says the Group’s
marketing director Irma Marcinkienė.

APRANGA are clothing stores intended for entire family, which offer
garments manufactured by largest European companies and a broad
variety of Lithuanian production. A particular focus is made on
production and expansion of own trademarks, which allow better
satisfaction of clients’ needs. Today the company manufactures
production under own trademarks in Italy, Poland, Lithuania and
Far East. The production is available at APRANGA shops only.

APRANGA Group operates a chain of 62 shops in the Baltic States:
46 in Lithuania, 15 in Latvia and 1 in Estonia. During the eight
months of this year, APRANGA has already opened 14 new shops and
plans to launch 8 more new or reconstructed stores by the end
of 2006.

APRANGA Group, the leader of clothing retail in the Baltic states,
plans to reach retail turnover of LTL 285-290 million
(EUR 83-84 million) (including VAT) by the end of this year. The
Group’s retail turnover in the Baltic States amounted to
LTL 171.9 million (EUR 49.8 million) in the January-August period
of 2006, indicating an increase by 45 percent year-on-year. During
the first eight months of 2006, the turnover of the APRANGA Group
increased by 44.1 percent in Lithuania, by 53.6 percent in Latvia
and by 32.1 percent in Estonia.

The company is owned by the MG Baltic concern.
